What’s blocking your dream career?

Take this short clarity quiz to discover what’s holding you back and how to move forward.

About Me

To stop going with whatever work comes your way, and to start being more intentional in your career.

You’re also ready to stop making choices to make other people happy, and to start doing what will actually fulfill YOU.

But maybe you don’t know where to start. Maybe you’re afraid because, let’s be honest, this stuff takes courage.

  • To have the flexibility and freedom to work when and where you want.
(Guess what? That’s the direction a lot of jobs are heading.)
  • To wake up actually feeling positive about the day.
(Ok, probably not every day, but at least 80% of the time.)
  • To feel useful, needed, and that you’re making a difference.
  • To go to bed most nights feeling satisfied.
  • To have the time, money, and energy to do the things you desire outside of your work.

I work with people who are dissatisfied with their job(s), know they’re not living up to their full potential, and are ready to figure out what it is they actually want to do.

I help folks to get clear, stop procrastinating, and make their amazing life they love a reality so they feel fulfilled, energized, and satisfied at the end of the day.

Sound good? Then read on.

If you’re looking for a loud, ra-ra cheerleader coach, then you’re in the wrong place.

However, if you’re looking for someone who will…

  • Genuinely listen
  • Gently guide you in the right direction
  • Intuitively tell you what I see and hear
  • Challenge you outside of what makes you comfortable

… then you’re bang on.

I used to refer to myself as a “serial job quitter”. In fact, I’ve had over 30 different jobs in my lifetime (I’m 32)! I seriously wondered if something was wrong with me – was I being ungrateful? Too picky? Idealistic?

From environmental non-profit work, youth education, digital marketing and project management, to numerous business attempts (including sustainability consulting and selling braided headbands at festivals)… I’ve done a lot. I’ve also spent a lot of time in between jobs, nearly broke, and crying wondering what the f*ck I’m doing with my life.

Eventually, a Masters degree seemed like the logical next step, cause, that’s what you’re supposed to do, right? So I applied and was accepted to a Master’s program in Sweden. But, it was during this time that I had a conversation with a friend’s Mom (a life coach), who helped me unveil what I actually wanted to do – start a coaching business.

After much deliberation, I decided to ditch the Masters (and the $50,000+ of debt – thank God!) and pursue a coaching business instead. Now, I’d like to say it was happily-ever-after from there on out but instead, I found myself serving in a restaurant at the ages of 27/28 – with a barely-existent business on the side.

I was learning the hard lesson that building our dream careers takes time. It isn’t for the faint of heart and it takes persistence, grit, and more persistence. It took me five years to make a consistent, full-time living from my business. But it was SO worth it. I now have everything I want from my career – I’m meaningfully helping people, setting my own schedule, travelling when I want, and making enough money to live a comfortable life in Vancouver (AND save a good chunk every month).

I’m here, beside you.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck in indecision around your career. I also know what it’s like to struggle to make your dream career a reality.

Today’s job market is full of short-term projects, jobs and contracts. People frequently move from contract to contract, or company to company, therefore we all need to know how to brand and sell ourselves like a business.

Just as I’ve done.

For better or worse, the days of getting one job at the start of your career, moving up the company ladder, and staying there until you retire, are dead.

To thrive in today’s job market, you need to know exactly who you are, what you believe in, what makes you unique, and what you have to offer.

Then you need to brand and market yourself to match. (I’m talking a LinkedIn profile, resume, and possibly even a website that all match your personal brand).
